摘要
In order to guide the fault detection of an inter turn short circuit fault in the field winding of a large turbo generator, a finite element model is proposed to compute the transient magnetic field characteristics of the air gap in large turbo generators. The details on the magnetic fields and the detection coils in a prototype turbine generator are explored. The numerical results as reported show the feasibility and accuracy of the proposed model and method.
