The AMA Manual of Style committee welcomes review and comments that will improve the goal of this guidance to encourage fairness, equity, consistency, and clarity in use and reporting of race and ethnicity in the medical and science literature. Continual review of the language used to describe race and ethnicity is critically important as societal norms change. We invite feedback through April 12, 2021, by sending comments to stylemanual@jamanetwork.org. © 2021 American Medical Association. All rights reserved.
