摘要
This research tried to use high slag, limestone, and low-cost materials to produce a SHCC with suitable mechanical properties and hardening behavior. By using limestone and high-volume slag, the amount of cement decreased that this helped SHCC to be economical and environmentally friendly. Also, PP and unoiled PVA that were treated in the laboratory were replaced by modified PVA to reduce the cost of SHCC. So, this study investigated the effect of: (1) unoiled PVA and PP fibers and (2) silica fume and nano-SiO2 on the mechanical properties and frost resistance of strain hardening cementitious composites (SHCCs) made of high slag and limestone. A type of surface coating was sprayed on the unoiled PVA to reduce the adhesion between the fibers or the fibers and the matrix. Six different strain hardening cementitious composite mixtures were designed and tested for compressive strength, flexural strength, and durability against freeze-thaw cycling. Results showed made proposed SHCCs displayed hardening behavior. Therefore, it is possible to achieve suitable SHCC at a low cost. Contrary to bending test results, the treated unoiled PVA reduced density and compressive strength. Nano-SiO2 and silica fume increased the flexural strength and had positive effect on the ductility of the specimens.
