摘要
A multi-level model is applied to simulate the wind-generated water currents. The water depth is divided into a number of horizontal layers and the finite difference approximations for each layer are developed by vertically integrating the governing equations over the layer thickness. The interfacial shear stresses between layers are evaluated by using the conventional mixing length formulations. The model results are verified against a series of extensive laboratory experiments on wind-induced flows.
