Deformation behavior of Al-Li single crystals

摘要
Deformation behavior of binary AI-Li single crystals was investigated in the temperature range of 300-453 K at a strain rate of 5.6 x 10(-3) s(-1). Flow stress increases with increasing temperature in the crystals both in solid solution and underaged conditions. Serrated flow was observed in the crystals in the underaged state, but not in the solid solution. Variations in stress drops and elapsed time of individual serrations indicate that the shearing of delta' particles is important in the serrated flow of AI-Li single crystals.
