摘要：
This review in concerned with the nuclear physics phenomena, newly discovered or just less familiar, which have something extraordinary about them either in terms of properties or in terms of observation (rare - or even 'forbidden' - to occur, serendipitiously discovered, posing observational or interpretational challenges, requiring unique experimentation, or exotic in some other way). The history of the discovery of such phenomena is presented and their significance is discussed.
