摘要
A novel projection filter proposed in this paper is applied in the 2-dimension digital image processing. This projection filter combines the original image with its first-order projection both in the spatial domain and in the frequency domain linearly. It has some interesting properties which keep the zero-frequency energy of both the whole image and its every. row and column invariable. This projection filter can be extended to the second-order projection that keeps the whole energy invariable instead of the zero-frequency energy. Experimental results show that the proposed filter can be used for feature enhancement and image compression.
