摘要
Changes in thermal expansion coefficient and excess free volume content during in situ heating-cooling cycles of metallic glasses in the as-quenched state and after indentation were measured in the temperature range between 350 and 670 K by real-time diffraction. It was found that deformation produced by an array of ball indentations generate more than 37% increase of free volume in Zr-based glassy ribbons. (C) 2004 Acta Materialia Inc.
