摘要
With the rapid growth of population and the acceleration of industrialization and urbanization, the living conditions of human are getting worse. In order to make decisions scientifically and maintain the sustainable development ability of society, more new technologies and concepts should be introduced and applied. Through the powerful ability of processing spatial information and simulating the real world, GIS technology is able to represent various kinds of information in a common, integrated and visual spatial language, and provide decision-making services for sustainable development by analyzing and forecasting each factor. WebGIS is the combination of GIS and network technologies. In this paper, the author discusses the frame of information service platform and solutions under the environment of webGIS, and takes Yunnan province as the case to illuminate the technical proposal of web information service for regional sustainable development.
