Discussion of Agile development used in large enterprise application system

Enterprise application system is an important component of enterprise modernization. However, the complexity and variability of business add a challenge to the development of useful and user-friendly large enterprise application systems. This study tries to develop a solution based on agile methodology. After analyzing the challenges in large enterprise application development, the paper focuses on discussing whether and how agile method can be used. First, this paper shows the preconditions in which agile development can be used. Then, the specific operating approaches are provided from both software development and project management. Finally, an actual practice proves that agile method can facilitate large enterprise application system development.
