[GRAPHICS] The Peterson reaction between (t-BuO)Ph2SiCH2CN and various aidehydes furnishes the corresponding beta-monosubstituted alpha,beta-unsaturated cyanides with high Z selectivity (Z:E = 92:8 to > 98:2).
