摘要
DO is a power tool for maxillary advancement in patients with a cleft. Long-term skeletal stability is achieved with Le Fort I maxillary distraction. Although not suggested for most patients requiring orthognathic surgery for cleft skeletal malformations, the technique has been helpful in obtaining stable results for large advancements of the facial skeleton compared with conventional Le Fort I advancement and fixation of the maxilla.
