摘要
The coal city is a complex system, which consists of four subsystems of population, resource, economy and environment. The sustainable development of coal city depends on the reasonable structure, development mode and harmony degree among subsystems. This paper combined the thought of harmonious development and comprehensive evaluation method, established an indicator system to measure the sustainable development of coal city, proposed a measurement method combining projection pursuit and harmony function on the harmonious development of a complex system, and then measured and evaluated the harmonious development among the subsystems of a coal city. The conclusion showed that the coal city can really realize the city sustainable development only if the harmonious development level constantly increases and meanwhile the comprehensive development level improves.
