A ne cobaltocenyl oxazoline palladacycle compound was prepared for the enantioselective aza-Claisen rearrangement of allylic imidates. Studies on the effect of face-blocking and the mechanism of the reaction were carried out. (C) 2003 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
