摘要
Hypoeutectic Al-Si alloys tubes were prepared by centrifugal casting under an electromagnetic field (EMF). The effects of electromagnetic field on solidification microstructure were studied. Compared with traditional centrifugal casting, the grain size and aspect ratio of primary alpha-Al decreased greatly, the columnar dendrites became equiaxed gradually with increasing electromagnetic intensity, the inter-flake space of eutectic laminas in the center of the sample increased and the broken eutectic silicon particles were found in the eutectic laminas.
