摘要
A photonic network is a promising way for realizing an Information Sharing Society in the 21st century. This is because of its large transmission capacity, flexibility and reliability. However, to provide a photonic network we must develop advanced photonic devices for processing optical signals that have various protocols and different bit-rate speeds. This article introduces recent progress and future trends in photonic devices in NTT Photonics Laboratories.
