摘要
Magnetic properties of CeSi single crystal were investigated by magnetic susceptibility, high-held magnetization, specific heat and resistivity measurements. Paramagnetic susceptibility follows the Curie-Weiss law with the anisotropic Curie-Weiss temperatures. A clear metamagnetic transition for the b-axis was observed below T-N. The saturation moment for the b-axis is 1.7 mu(B)/Ce, while those for both the a- and c-axis are 0.9 mu(B)/Ce. The magnetic entropy at T-N was calculated to be R ln 2, which suggests a doublet ground state of the compound. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
