摘要
The author of the paper focuses on some methodological connection of human image formation and his/her role as a moral subject in the context of contemporary ethical theory. She draws her attention to ethical discourse which is at present accompanied by polemic about the need for ethical theory to solve the moral problems of a modern man. She asks the question of what form an ethical theory should be in the contexts of contemporary culture in which standards of prosperities and subjective law are promoted to the determining qualities of an autonomous personality and are placed over upon any responsibility or obligation. She believes that theoretical reflection helps to strengthen, above all the ability of man to recognize social reality, its essential and determining moral relationships. At the same time ethical theory explains terms and concepts that allow orientations in social interactions. It helps to find the answers to the questions why something has happened and simultaneously facilitates to anticipate future developments. Such reflection is an essential part of human life, of his/her activity and at the same time it facilitates his/her orientation and helps to shape his/her ethical capability. From a methodical point of view it can be considered as a starting point for moral reasoning that will help to discover those processes which have caused a person to behave in a given way. Theory is necessary because it associates the rational choice and efforts paradigmatically define the sense in which theory becomes suitable for application in practical life.
