摘要
Industry 4.0 is about the transformation of manufacturing through the convergence of physical systems and their digital counterparts with Information Technology as an enabler. The Asset Administration Shell is core to Industry 4.0 components. A framework is needed for the creation and customization of a shell as multiple stakeholders in the value network will derive different value from it. In this paper, we propose the Open Asset Administration Shell for Industrial Systems (OAASIS) framework to give direction about ownership and authority to create and modify shell. Also, we propose new shell properties to make it extensible, customizable, maintainable (using version control) and easy to interact using a graphical user interface. Finally, we use the example of a machine tool to describe how the industry will use these shell properties and OAASIS framework. (C) 2019 Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME).
