摘要
During the last years a lot of research activities have been directed to point out the properties of Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) for applications in the field of electric power engineering. A survey of the use of ANN for the realization of powerful measuring algorithms with special interest in power system protection is presented in this paper. After a brief description of requirements for modern power protection systems different application areas for ANN in the field of signal processing, fault classification and fault location are discussed. All these methods are related to measuring algorithms for power system protection.
