摘要
Electrical grounding is essential part of power system. Backfilling materials utilized in grounding system work effectively in lowering the grounding resistance. During lightning strikes or short circuit surge arises grounding system should be capable of handling high current for short or prolong period of time. This paper investigates the behaviour of bentonite and cement on refined sand and lime under alternating, direct and impulse voltages. The electrical grounding system is made portable to provide low and acceptable resistance path for terrains where soil is not suitable for grounding system like forests, deserts and normal surfaces. The portable earthing system can be applying to railway systems, air aviation systems and military sectors particularly for electronic equipment zero referencing.
