BODY EXPRESSION AND PLAY IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION

This article addresses the intersection of early childhood, play and body expression, seeking to contribute to the analysis of the playful-corporal dimension in pedagogical practices aimed at this educational level. Methodological and practical aspects will be addressed, specifically aimed at working with children aged 3 to 5 years old. These methodologies articulate integrated arts and practices, such as body expression, play and storytelling. In a more detailed and in-depth way, we will deal with the following topics: the playful-corporal dimension in early childhood; the analysis of awareness and creation practices in recreational and bodily activities; the planning of playful-corporal activities (creation of scripts, establishing rhythms for the activity, use of spaces, etc.); the creative possibilities in working with short stories, having body expression as one of its main languages; and the integration of children's creative contributions, so that they are treated as active subjects in the activities in which they participate.
