Improved oxidation resistance of Ti with a thermal sprayed Ti3Al(O)-Al2O3 composite coating

摘要
A Ti3Al(O)-Al2O3 in situ composite was explored as a coating system for Ti using thermal spray. Oxidation tests at 700-800 degreesC showed that this coating remarkably decreased the oxidation rate and increased the scale spallation resistance compared with Ti.
