摘要
This paper describes a novel experimental release of CO2 into marine sediments designed to address both impact and monitoring uncertainties relating to a leak from CCS storage. The real world experiment enabled the realistic recreation of a leak in a complex structured sedimentary, hydrodynamic and biological environment, and the testing of various monitoring strategies in a controlled and quantified scenario. The results of the project, when fully analysed, will be used to inform a wide range of stakeholders. (C) 2013 The Authors. Published by Elsevier Ltd. Open access under CC BY-NC-ND license.
