Neutron powder diffraction study of Sr2SnO4 and Ba2SnO4

摘要
The structures of Sr2SnO4 (I4/mmm, a 4.0528(1), c 12.5852(5) Angstrom) and Ba2SnO4 (I4/mmm, a 4.1428(1), c 13.2993(4) Angstrom) have been refined from neutron powder diffraction data by the Rietveld method. The results show the SnO6 polyhedra are not regular octahedra but are either elongated or compressed along the c direction depending on the dimension of the AO layer in these A(2)SnO(4)-type compounds.
