摘要
The use of three-dimensional representations is increasing and software for this purpose is becoming even more available. Like in plain representations, the elements of cartographic language need to be represented in an adequate way when dealing with three-dimensional representations in order to provide an efficient communication. Until recently, a perception test for this purpose did not consider the interactivity of the map. The perception test was based on an interview taken by an open questionnaire. In this paper, we describe a methodology to evaluate the symbology as element of cartographic language in three-dimensional interactive representations, based on a visual perception test. In order to answer the test and to see and interact with the cartographic representations, the use of internet resources was needed. The results show that the test is appropriate to evaluate the three-dimensional interactive cartographic representations. However, it is recommended to take further tests so as to evaluate the symbology as element of this specific kind of representation.
