Waste derived fuel have been used in Polish cement plants for over ten years. In 2000 6 cement plants in Poland applied it. Among these two belong to Lafarge Cement Poland Co.: Malogoszcz and Kujawy, which as first in Poland began the usage of the alternative fuel at the beginning of the nineties of the 20th century. The experiences of plants grouped in Lafarge Cement Poland Co. confirm that usage of alternative fuels the is economically and ecologically valid. Combustion of alternative fuel in cement plants is the safe method of utilization of wastes, environmentally friendly and profitable for plants and the society. Research results show that while using alternative fuels, maximum acceptable values of pollutants emissions determined by the Decision of Swietokrzyskie Province Government were not exceeded.
