As the 21st century is the age of information, education is experiencing a huge reform and development influenced by the information technology. Education informatization is not only an inevitable requirement of education reform and development, but an important driving force to realize social and educational fairness. The government should deepen the application and constantly integrate innovation at a steady pace in the educational informatization era facing the information technology wave. First of all, this paper starts with the basic concept and connotation of educational informatization, and explains the latest planning and policy of the Chinese government promoting education informatization in detail from a realistic perspective. Secondly, the paper discusses the reasons to realize education equity and how the information development becomes an important way to realize the education equity based on its basic theory. Finally, the paper analyzes how the government should better promote education informatization and achieve education equity supported by the new public management theory from the ideal perspective.
