Durability of self-consolidating concrete using waste LCD glass

摘要
This study investigates the properties of self-compacting glass concrete (SCGC), where liquid crystal glass sand (0%, 10%, 20%, and 30%) is used in place of aggregates. The results indicate that the slump flow of self-compacting glass concrete (SCGC) increases with higher glass sand content. Additionally, replacing 20% of the aggregates yields the highest compressive and flexural strengths. Self-compacting glass concrete has the highest ultrasonic pulse velocity. After 56 days, the electric resistivity is higher than 20 k Omega cm. Finally, when the volume of glass is increased to 30%, the amount of chloride ion penetration is reduced and the durability of the self-compacting glass concrete is improved. (c) 2009 Elsevier Ltd.
