Research on the Sports Lifestyle of Urban Community Residents

The research adopted research methods of document literature, interview survey, questionnaire survey and mathematical statistics and selected the sports lifestyle of 1800 aged people in eight communities, such as Yuelin and Baihe Residential Areas, in Xingtai City as the object of study. The research finds that the development of physical fitness of aged community residents in Xingtai should be further enhanced; the aged don't have enough knowledge on physical fitness; the sport consumption of the aged is not high; the implementation scope of sport culture activities in urban communities should be strengthened. Suggestions are proposed as follows: governmental departments should ensure the normal implementation of aged sports from law and policy; the aged should change idea to understand the relation between sports lifestyle and physical & psychological health; health publicity & education should be enhanced to increase aged people's sense of participation; capital investment in aged sports should be increased to improve sports facilities.
