摘要
The DSM-5 proposes a model of conceptualizing personality disorders in which they are characterized by impairments in personality functioning and maladaptive personality traits. The Personality Inventory for DSM-5 (PID-5) is a self-report measure that assesses the presence and severity of the maladaptive personality traits. There is a long form of the PID-5 which is composed of 220 items, organized in 25 facets nested within five trait domains, a brief form with 25 items that assess the five trait domains and a reduced set of 100 PID-5 items that have proven to efficiently measure the 25 traits and five domains. The reliability and validity of the three forms of the PID-5 were analysed in samples of Portuguese universitary students. Results provided evidence that all forms can be used to reliably and validly assess the maladaptive personality traits described in the DSM-5 model, although the long form is the most robust measure.
