Reactions of alkanes and cycloalkanes in ambient-temperature ionic liquids

摘要：
Ambient-temperature chloroaluminate(III) ionic liquids have been shown to demonstrate catalytic cracking of straight-chain alkanes such as n-octane, n-nonane, n-decane, n-undecane, n-dodecane, n-tridecane and n-tetradecane. These chloroaluminate ionic liquids have also been used to examine isomerization reactions of cycloalkanes. Both these reactions were performed in a two-phase system.
