摘要
This paper investigates the variations of wind power in Korea-Jeju and discusses the amount of reserve needed to handle unpredicted short-term variations. Construction of wind power plant has been rapidly increased since Korea-Jeju is known as the most suitable for wind power plants in Korea. But implementing wind power generation inevitably introduces new challenges due to its intermittent nature. In the paper, it is introduced the present and prospect of wind plant construction in Jeju. And it provides an indication of the variability of wind power plant and discussed the reserve of conventional power station for wind power fluctuation in Korea-Jeju power system. So, this paper proposes the way of secure operating in Korea-Jeju power network
