摘要
We propose a hierarchical framework for probing the functional networks most associated with a given task, through electroencephalography (EEG). The framework identifies the functional networks spatially: localizing them in the cortex, temporally: estimating the likelihood of their occurrence at each instant during the observed interval, and rhythmically: by associating their activities to the distinct, well-known EEG sub-bands. The degree of association, of the different components constituting these functional networks, with the considered task, is evaluated through the simultaneity and consistency of the identified functional connectivity relationships. The framework is applied to experimental motor execution/imagery data, and the results are discussed.
