摘要
Fast system level modeling and simulation are becoming feasible during network switch and router design. In this paper OPNET is adopted to build a system level model and simulation platform based on CICQ architecture and LQD_RR scheduling algorithm. In order to simulating the real working environment of the switch, peripheral nodes are created to generate various traffic types, and finally the simulation of the switch is realized under different traffic models. By analyzing the experiment results, the performance of CICQ switching architecture and scheduling algorithm are evaluated. The method in this paper provide a study case of system modeling and simulation for the switch architecture in the early design phase and can decrease the risk for further hardware design.
