摘要：
Housing poverty is still a serious problem in the rapid urbanization of China. This paper studied the temporal change of housing poverty in transitional urban China with the data of 1% population survey in 1995 and 2005 and the population census in 2000. The change was significant. It revealed the decrease in the ratio of housing hardship household in total urban household and improvement of living condition of them. There still exited spatial and household disparity. But the housing poverty was still severe, poor quality is much worse than inadequate quantity. Then this paper analyzed the main causes and addressed several policies to solve the problem finally.
