Internal Fixation Using A Single Incision in A Radial Head, Neck and Olecranon Fracture: Case Report

Radial head fractures are common injuries in adult population. The proposed treatment options are open reduction internal fixation (ORIF), radial head excision or anhroplasty. The effectiveness of the Open Reduction Internal Fixation on Mason type III and IV fractures are still contrversial. In addition to radial head fracture, accompaning radial neck and elbow fractures effect the prognosis. Many factors including appropriate surgical incision, technique, experience and choice of surgical implant also effect the outcome of treatment. In this study we aimed to evaluate the outcomes of a patient suffering from comminuted radial head, neck and olecranon fractures (Mason type IV equivalent) treated via ORIF by using low profile implants through single incision.
