Analysis of dynamic behaviour of a DC electromagnetic relay by 3D finite element method

摘要
Analysis of electromechanical devices, such as actuators, often requires coupled modelling of magnetic, electrical and mechanical behaviour. In the proposed approach 3D FEM studies are performed for different position and supply conditions to get torque and flux linkages to create a lookup table. The lookup table is then interpolated to get the values of the request parameters for a certain set of status variables and with a suitable procedure the complete set of mechanical and electrical equations is solved. The proposed procedure has been applied and tested on an industrial device.
