On cosmological constant of generalized Robertson-Walker space-times

We classify (m + n)D warped product spaces ((M) over bar, (g) over bar) satisfying Einstein's equation (G) over bar = -(Lambda) over bar(g) over bar. We show that the warping function f can determine not only the cosmological constant (Lambda) over bar but also the cosmological constant Lambda appearing in induced Einstein's equation G = -Lambda h on (M-2, h). Moreover, we discuss the origin of the 4D cosmological constant as an emergent effect of higher dimensional warped spaces. Published by AIP Publishing.
