摘要
There is no medical or surgical cure for patients with canine hip dysplasia (CHD). No surgical procedure, including those touted as preventive surgeries, has been shown scientifically to stop the progression of degenerative joint disease associated with CHD. Medical or. surgical treatments are palliative at best, and most methods have poorly studied indications and outcomes. This article discusses the importance of evidence-based medicine to direct appropriate selection and treatment of dogs with CHD.
