CHRISTIAN BIOETHICS A SCIENCE TO SERVE LIFE

After the birth of Bioethics' concept and until today, we may talk about Laic or Christian Bioethics, humanist or sacred. Bioethics is at the centre of dialogue or avant-garde sciences' tension, since everything that is today and bearing the living print of God, is the subject of negation. Bioethics is a science that combines biological knowledge with the values of human system and, at the same time, wants to impose the respect towards human life, in general, and towards the source of this life, in particular. Protecting life and world as a moral, social, cultural necessity is an ontological duty. The world (nature) is a gift for everybody, not for one or some, and fulfilling the aim toward the world should be done in close relation with the human fellows, not by himself Concerning our relation to the world, we have the responsibility of recognizing its dignity, by which we honor the One who gave it to us. The golden rule of Christian Bioethics is always making good things and avoiding bad, these imposing some of the principles: I. God is the Creator and the absolute Master of life and death. 2. Man has no right to act on human species. 3. At the centre of this research we should place the respect for life and human dignity (the face of God). 4. Human life has a sacred character, having its origin in God. Therefore, at the centre of human actions should be love, the essence of the Creator and the completion of man. This is what we should understand by Christian Bioethics, a science to serve life.
