摘要
The proposed method presents a unique approach to state estimation (SE) for power systems based on the placement of Phasor Measurement Units optimally (PMU) using Greedy Algorithm (GA). This technique not only reduces the cost of installation but also maintains the complete observability of the system. As the proposed scheme is based on linear measurement model to estimate the system states in a single iteration, thereby the quality of SE is improved. The proposed scheme has been tested on standard IEEE 5-bus, 14-bus, 30-bus, 57-bus, 118-bus test systems and Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) 38-bus practical system under different simulated operating conditions. The results of simulation studies of the proposed scheme have been compared with the performance of popular Weighted Least Square (WLS) SE under similar operating conditions through various quantities and statistical parameters. These reveal the efficacy of the proposed scheme and its suitability for on-line applications.
