摘要
The study is concerned with the reflection phenomenon in a rotating fiber-reinforced thermodiffusive half space with initial stress under the purview of Green-Lindsay theory of generalized thermoelasticity. Four basic waves namely qP (quasi-P), qMD (quasi-mass diffusion), qT (quasi-thermal) and qSV (quasi-SV) that travel with distinct speeds are found to be coupled due to the presence of reinforcement and rotation. With the application of boundary conditions, reflection coefficients and energy ratios for these reflected waves are presented in the closed form. With the help of MATLAB programming, different characteristics of waves like the phase velocity, reflection coefficient and energy ratio are computed numerically and plotted graphically against angle of incidence to evince the significance of rotation, initial stress, relaxation times, diffusion and reinforcement. The law of conservation of energy at the surface is also verified. Finally, it is shown that under certain conditions, previous results in the literature are special cases of our results. The study finds applications in composite engineering, geology, seismology, control system and acoustics, exploration of valuable materials beneath the earth's surface.
