Structural and magnetic stability of the amorphous (Co0.94Fe0.06)(72.5)Si12.5B15 wire has been investigated by the magnetic after-effect spectroscopy. Activation parameters of the relaxation in the as-cast wire are Q* = 1.62 eV and tau(0) = 7x10(-17) s. Annealing suppresses short-time relaxation by annealing-out free volumes, but still some free volume remains in the sample and contributes to the irreversible relaxation. This can be seen during long-time experiments.
