摘要
The main goal of this work, that we have established, was to discover, which career beliefs have students of the given high schol and then make a comparison of this obtained beliefs. The main compared school categories were the common type- grammar schol and a specialised high school. The research sample consists of 106 respondents and students were chosen by an intentional selection, by a way, that both categories were represented by the same number of students. The methodology for data obtaining was created individual. The need of evaluation of obtained data was the mapping of student's statements and a following categorization. We have created 5 categories of career beliefs, which were following: "Education", "Foreign language", "Practise over theory", "Money", "Work, I enjoy". By statistic analysis of the results we found out, that the career beliefs of hotel academy students and the grammar school students differ from their contents. Career beliefs of grammar school students differed from hotel academy convictions in the category "Education", which means, that grammar school students are convinced, that only then they will be successful in their future career, when they will be educated. Career convictions of hotel academy students differed in categories: "Practise over theory" and "Foreign language". In the remaining categories were no differencies. Based on the discoveries, we can confirm, that the type of high school affects student's thinking about their future working career. That, which proffesion has the parent, could affect the students future profession choice. This presumption proved also true.
