Positional disorder in the regime of negative refraction in photonic crystals

摘要
The effect of positional disorder on the density-of-states and the wave propagation in a two-dimensional square-lattice photonic crystal is calculated. Directed beams and negative refraction persist up to only few percent of disorder. At 5% disorder and above diffusive propagation dominates.
