摘要
We report the single crystal growth and structural characterization of a series of layered tantalates with the general formula LnKNaTaO(5) (Ln = La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Gd) grown out of a molten KOH/NaOH eutectic. All these oxides crystallize in the tetragonal space group P4/nmm and form a layered structure in which tantalum is found in an uncommon square pyramidal coordination environment.
