摘要
Civil engineering infrastructures such as road embankements located on soft soil material are prone to deformation. Load bearing capacity of a sub-grade can thus, be improved to support pavements and foundations. In this regard, the study aimed at investigating the influence of a simultaneous use of a sustainable construction material (Fly-ash class F) and filler on bearing capacity as well as unconfined compressive strength of the sub-base soil respectively Questionnaires were administered to clients, consultants and contractors to elicit information regarding their perceptions with respect to such factors. Relative importance of these factors was determined through their mena score values and thus, ranked accordingly. The results of the analysis show need to have a more efficient technical work is the most significant factor influencing the adoption of IT with the mean score value of 4.16, thus, ranked the highest. Also, low return on the investment, having the highest mean score value of 3.13 is the significant factor impeding the implementation of IT. Furthermore, easy accomplishment of professional job and enhanced productivity were the most significant benefits of IT.
