摘要
During the past few years, metal nanoparticles received attention due to their interesting optical and electrical properties. Among them, silver nanoparticles (AgNP) showed various specific properties. In this paper, we've synthesised silver nanoparticles and tested their antimicrobial activity. As a precursor for silver, we used silver salt-AgNO3. As a stabilizer and also a reducing agent, we used gallic acid monohydrate, because it is known that in strong alkaline solutions, this acid is capable of reducing silver ammonium complex, thus generating stable AgNPs. The characterization was done with UV/VIS spectrophotometer by assessment of absorption maximum kmax in certain interval of time. In order to determine the inhibitory effects of silver nanoparticles, the test diffusion antibiogram method was used. Based on the obtained results, we concluded that nanoparticles synthesized in this way, show excellent antimicrobial activity and can be used as antimicrobial agent.
