摘要
An overview on video transcoding architectures and techniques are presented. Transcoding was defined as the conversion of coded signal to another. It was found that majority of interest focused on reducing the bit rate to meet an available channel capacity. Researchers investigated conversions between constant bit-rate (CBR) streams and variable bit-rate streams to facilitate more efficient transport of video.
